Arenal/ La Fortuna is blessed with the beautiful Arenal Volcano and lake. It is an active volcano that spews steam and sparks out the top. You will find this area quite a bit cooler than Tamarindo. Some of the best adventure packages are found in this area. The town of La Fortuna has many shops and restaurants to enjoy. The volcano is the source for many of the most renowned hot springs and spas in the world.
