Costa Rican Cultural Vacations
Come Seize The Day !
Have you been looking for a vacation that adds cultural enrichment with adventure, beauty and
relaxation? Would you like to learn about the society and experience the culture of the country
you are visiting? If you answered yes to those two questions, we built our bridge to Costa Rica
for you. We will put you in the most beautiful locations and supply you with exhilarating
adventures that you will never forget. But unlike other travel companies, we specialize in taking
you to see and experience what Costa Rica is really about. Carpe Diem is not for everyone. But
it is for people that would enjoy being driven an hour off the regular road to a small village to
participate in the yearly celebration and watch the parade. Carpe Diem is for people that would
love to go to the village of Sarchi and watch the local artists meticulously painting the handmade
ox carts, just as they have for over 100 years. During the day we can arrange a private transfer to
the Valley de los Santos and show you the finest coffee plantations in Costa Rica growing
Tarrazu coffee; and then at night you can cheer on the local professional soccer team and watch
the fireworks after the game. We know local painters that will invite you in to their studio for a
private showing and discussion of their art. Would you be interested in donating school supplies
to an indigenous tribe like the Bri Bris, Cabecares or Boracas, and then learning about their
society and use of medicinal plants from one of the shamans? Perhaps you would enjoy gliding
down a river in a canopied boat snapping photos of the monkeys, iguanas, boa constrictors,
sloths, crocodiles, and colorful birds only a few feet away. Our eco package will give you this
opportunity as well as watching the giant sea turtles lay their eggs on the beach. We can take you
to Ojo de Agua where you can swim with the locals in pools filled daily by fresh spring water.
The restaurant at the pool even has karaoke during the day. On your way to see the waterfalls,
hummingbirds and butterflies, we will stop at an out of the way restaurant favored by the Ticos
(native Costa Ricans) for some authentic Costa Rican cuisine. Along with these unusual types of
adventures, we will share with you all of our findings regarding Costa Rican politics, economy,
health care and relationships with neighboring countries. Our knowledge of the country will
make your personal journey to Costa Rica enlightening and exciting.
